Send your stories. We want them all.
Submit your story. Have you ever felt different at Davidson? There are so many powerful stories on campus that are never told, and we want to hear yours. We’ll turn your story into a documentary theatre performance and will share it with Davidson. You’ll stay totally anonymous.
We’re looking for thoughtful stories in any textual format – poems, stories, vignettes, essays, articles, etc. On any topic – class differences, race, sexuality, breakups, eating disorders, depression, sexual violence, disabilities, religion, anything. Submissions are authentic and meaningful.

How to Submit.
(1) Read our submission confidentiality statement here. Seriously, read it. It’s important. (2) From the list below, pick the liaison to whom you feel most comfortable submitting your story. This person will be the only one who knows that the story you wrote is yours. This student will be charged with receiving submissions and ensuring you remain anonymous to all other Outsiders’ Monologues committee members during the review and staging process. Your liaison is honor-bound to keep confidentiality. Sometimes we ask the author of a monologue for permission to make slight adjustments to their piece (to clear ambiguities or remove details that could unintentionally divulge a person’s identity). In this case, the the person to whom you’ve submitted your monologue (the only one who will ever know you wrote your piece) will keep your anonymity by acting as your proxy. To learn more about each student, see our “Meet the Team” page. (3) Once you have chosen your liaison, attach your story in an email with the subject header “OM SUBMISSION” (4) Pat yourself on the back for a story well-written, and rest assured that you will remain anonymous.
Submit your story to one of the following liaisons.
